Mission Statement
Barrio Baile, a nonprofit organization, is a welcoming space that fosters a diverse dance community in the Golden Area. We are committed to preserving traditional dance and creating opportunities for cultural exchange. Scholarships are available, and we invite everyone to join us!
At Barrio Baile, we pride ourselves on offering a rich tapestry of dance classes. From the sensual rhythms of Belly Dance to the energetic beats of Brazilian Dance (Afro-samba, Samba Reggae, Samba no pe, Baile Funky, Maculele) and the fun-filled Zumba Gold, there's a world of dance waiting for you!
Kid classes, suitable for children aged 5-12, are held during the school year at Shelton Elementary during after school hours.
In the future, we will offer other formats, such as Capoeira, Fitness Dance of the 90s/2000s, Pilates, HIIT, Drumming, Senior Fitness, and more!

Cristina Casler
Founder
Cristina is a professional dancer with a passion for Oriental Dance. With over 18 years of experience performing and teaching in cities across the United States, her energetic, elegant, and playful style never fails to captivate audiences. She has honored her craft under the guidance of esteemed Egyptian dancers and choreographers, including Deniz Miller, Amita Graham, and Amanda Rose, and has enriched her knowledge through workshops with renowned figures such as Randa Kamel, Mahmoud Reda, Farida Fahmy, Lubna, Aida Nour, and Tito. Drawing inspiration from her rich Arabic heritage, Cristina was encouraged to dance from an early age, and she has embraced this calling with enthusiasm.
In addition to Cristina's dancing career, she holds a degree in neuroscience and has made valuable research contributions while working within the physical therapy field. However, her passion for dance remains at the forefront as she actively shares it with her community in Golden, CO. Cristina is well-versed in a range of dance styles, including Egyptian-style Raqs Sharq, Samba no Pe, Capoeira, and Afro-Brazilian Dance. Her performances shine with the depth of her diverse background, making her a sought-after teacher and performer nationwide. As a dedicated mother of two, she inspires others at Barrio Baile, encouraging everyone to dance freely and confidently embrace their true selves. For Cristina, dancing is not just an activity—it's a transformative experience that empowers individuals to step beyond their daily lives and connect with something larger, more beautiful, and profoundly impactful. Dance is her personal glory, and she invites everyone to claim their own!
